GOOGLE DNS BENCHMARK SERIES
The end-user query goes through a series of recursive and authoritative servers to properly resolve and deliver the searched domain. Without it in place, we would have to remember the IP address for every website that we want to visit. DNS plays an integral role in internet queries and the communication between the end user and the nameservers that store all of the domain IP addresses. The Domain Name System (DNS) did just that. There was also a need for a computer language interpreter that could translate domain names into machine-readable languages. The first one is for my local DNSMASQ service and no surprise it is the fastest for cached names. Fizz is my ISP but it runs on Videotron infrastructure. I have since added two more DNS to DNSMASQ to see if it will remedy the issue.

My question is, is this OK? Or will my DNSMAQ cached names basically render the ISP reliability unimportant and my issue is elsewhere? I ran a few tests and all 3 ISP DNS show a reliability of around 95%.

I thought it might be DNS related and until now I have been using my ISP's DHCP provided DNS in DNSMASQ. The issue usually resolves itself in a few minutes but it is aggravating. I have been experiencing some loss-of-internet. It uses DNSMASQ for the DNS and DHCP on the LAN. I am running a flavour of Tomato on an ASUS RT-N66U router.
